Allison Ziesmer

Counseling Approach and Clinical Focus:
Allison has experience working with college-age individuals in university counseling settings, supporting clients through transitions, stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and the many other challenges that can come with young adulthood. She believes therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership built on trust, authenticity, and maybe even a little laughter. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, knowing they don't have to have everything figured out before walking through the door.
A message from Allison:
Reaching out for therapy can be one of the hardest first steps, and I don't take that lightly.
Whether you're looking for support through a specific challenge or simply hoping to get to know yourself a little better, I'd be honored to be part of your journey.

Biography
Allison is passionate about helping people navigate life's ups, downs, and everything in
between. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences before completing her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Dakota State University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at NDSU because, apparently, she decided two degrees just wasn't enough. She is committed to continuing to learn and grow so she can provide thoughtful, evidence-based care.
Outside of work, Allison is usually reading "just one more chapter" (which somehow turns into five), hanging out with her cats, or watching her fish tank like it's premium television. She also loves exploring Fargo-Moorhead in search of new coffee shops, restaurants, and new local favorites. She believes that growth happens both inside and outside the therapy room—and that sometimes a change of scenery, a good book, or a cat curled up nearby can make a day a little brighter.
