Counseling Approach and Clinical Focus:

Cheyanne works with children ages five through young adulthood who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and/or other behavioral or emotional concerns. She empowers youth in finding their strengths and utilizing them with the help of their caregivers. She enjoys working with families and individuals to improve overall functioning through a strengths based, client centered practice. Family based work includes collaborating with the whole family through the Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) approach. This approach includes engaging the entire family to work through strained communication patterns, improving family structure, conflict resolution and overall parenting skills engagement. Cheyanne focuses on therapeutic rapport while utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
